Loving and Caring 3

Between A LCM and A WWH Husband SERIES 2C

The woman lesser physical strength is not by any chance or means to justify a man in overstepping her (women) rights. Abu Hurayrah reported that Allaah’s Messenger said: ” I strongly admonish you regarding the right of the weak ones: the orphan and the woman”

[Recorded by Ahmad. Ibn Majah and others]

The wife has the right to be respected and treated kindly. This is not an optional favour from her husband but an obligation established through a divine command. Allaah commands: “Live with them (your wives) in kindness; even if you dislike them, perhaps you dislike something in which Allaah has placed much good” {Quran 4: 19}

Rendering kindness to the wife is a sign of good nature and righteousness. The Prophet gave the perfect example of how a righteous believer should treat his wife. Aaishaah reported that Allaah’s Messenger said: _”The best of you are those who are best to his family, and I am the best of you toward my family”_

[Recorded by Tirimidhee, ibn Hibban, Ad-Sahihah of Shaykh Albani no.285]

Now tell me, what is your kindness to your wife? Mere saying “I Love You” without practical or action of it!

This goes to confirm the divine expectations of Allaah and His Rosul. The man must bring out the hidden beauty of his wife. Unfortunately, a man would marry a beautiful young lady in her prime but a few months and some years later the marital union will begin to diminish, the same young lady has suddenly become an old woman without any trace of beauty on the account of hard labour and force support. Such a woman is under subjugation and not submission. Submission is out of willingness from the heart but subjugation is under compulsion. The error of subjugation is of the man.

There is a popular saying from a particular tribe (i won’t mention): “The beauty of a woman is the pride of her husband”. As a man of the house, poverty is not enough to excuse the shabby and unkempt appearance of your wife. She knows you do not have so much, but whatever little comes to you show her you care about her needs. The same thing goes for assisting her at home when you are around. She knows you are a busy type but if you are around, let it make a difference. Your love and care have to start from somewhere.

Ego will not kill YOU!

Let’s meet again for the next SERIES 2D in shaa Allaah.
