Loving and Caring 1

Between A LCM and A WWH Husband SERIES 2A

The previous series looked at the issue of wife’s submissiveness in Marriage, considering the divine injunction of Rosulullaah: _”If a woman prays her five daily prayers, fasts her month (of Ramadan), obeys her husband and guards her chastity, then it will be said to her: ‘Enter Paradise by whichever of its gates you wish.”_ [Ahmad and Tabarani]. I know there were some positions in the previous presentation, which will not meet some of Umm’s and sisters expectations (controversial and debatable). However, those positions were not taken for purposes of entertainment or WhatsApp argumentation; rather they were divine sayings from Allaah and His Rosul that a wife must submit to her husband in everything EXCEPT if what he instructed you is against HIS command. I imagine that many people would have expected me to balance my positions in the presentation, considering that this wife too, is a human being and deserve some respect and honour in her Marital Home.

Allaah Subuhanahu Wa Ta’ala is a JUST Rabb and HE made that on ISLAM. Marriage is a bond held together by mutual rights and responsibilities for each of the two spouses. It is a partnership between them, and they are both required to play an active role in that partnership. In as much that a woman plays her role in Marriage, the husband too is expected to play his role. They both have similar rewards for obedience to Allaah and also similar punishments for disobedience. Allaah says: Whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while he is a believer, We will surely grant him a good life, and will surely give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do. {Quran 16: 97}.

What are LCM and WWH? LCM simply means Loving and Caring Man and WWH means Woman Wrapper Husband.

First and foremost, Islam urges us to marry a loving and caring spouse. This is an instruction from Rosulullaah who said: _”I have not seen anything best for two lovers except Nikah (Marrying the one you love)”_. In Islam, we don’t marry each other out of pity but genuinely for Allah’s sake.

And a woman wrapper husband is a person who does all that the woman orders/commands. Islam never supports this in any way.

Let’s meet again for the next SERIES 2B In shaa Allaah.
